Introducing Sonoform: Sound That Breathes With You
Sonoform is a generative ambient sound engine. Not a playlist. Not a curated collection of loops. Every time you press generate, an entirely new piece of audio is created from scratch — shaped by the context you choose, the duration you need, and the intent you bring to it.
Most ambient audio tools give you the same thing on repeat. You've heard those rain loops. You know the exact moment the coffee shop recording resets. Your brain knows too — and it adjusts, tuning out the pattern, or worse, getting caught by it right when you need to disappear into your work.
Sonoform is built for people who do demanding cognitive work. Writers who need to disappear into a paragraph. Engineers who need to stay in a long, unbroken flow state. Designers wrestling with a blank canvas at 11pm. Anyone who has discovered that silence is sometimes too loud, and music with lyrics is always too present.
The generation process starts with a context. Deep Work creates structured, low-frequency textures with minimal variation — the sonic equivalent of a clear desk. Creative Flow introduces gentle motion and warmth, giving your imagination something to brush against without pulling focus. Wind Down uses slower harmonic progressions and natural fade dynamics to help your nervous system downshift at the end of the day.
Each of these contexts maps to a precise set of audio parameters — tempo, harmonic density, frequency balance, envelope shape — that are passed to OpenAI's audio API, which renders a unique output every time. No two sessions sound identical. The same context run twice will produce pieces that share a character but never a fingerprint.
If you know what you need but not which mode to pick, you can just say it. Type something like "I need to write a difficult email and I'm already distracted" or "slow afternoon, trying to read but my mind keeps wandering" — and Sonoform reads your intent, maps it to the right context and parameters, and generates accordingly. Natural language input is available in the generator and takes only a few seconds to interpret.
Getting started is free. No credit card required. You generate your first soundscape, save the session, and if it worked — if you actually did the work — you'll know whether Sonoform belongs in your toolkit.
